Our leadership team has over 40 years of combined child care experience. We are dedicated to making our center a safe and enriching environment where your child can flourish developmentally, academically and emotionally.
Amanda Abernathy, Bus. Operations Manager
Hi! My name is Amanda Abernathy and I am the Business Operations Manager at Color My World. I have my Bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa. I have managed the center since 2015 after working in previous management roles.
My number one priority is to provide a place where children can go to feel safe, cared for and foster their love for learning. This comes primarily from having a dedicated and reliable staff, which I am proud to say we have at CMW!
My husband and I live in Altoona with our two sons. We love to travel, spend time outdoors and cheer on our favorite sport teams.

Bobbie Jo Gregory, Director
Hello, my name is Bobbie Jo Stout. I am the Director at Color My World Child Care and Preschool. I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education and also have a Certification of Specialization in Early Childhood Program Administrations. I have been with Color My World since 2002, starting out as an assistant teacher in the two year old room. I then moved to a Lead Teacher role within the Infant/Toddler Program with many of those years being a Lead Teacher in the infant room. In 2016 I became the Assistant Director.
I enjoy partnering with the families and staff of Color My World while building strong positive relationships. I feel this helps build a solid foundation for the children's future and willingness to explore, engage, learn and most of all to have fun!
My family and I live in Melcher-Dallas. I love spending time with my family. We enjoy riding our 4 wheelers at the ATV parks here in Iowa and in the future want to explore other parks in other states. We enjoy going to car shows and to Eddyville Raceway.

Amanda Crise, Assistant Director
Hello, my name is Amanda Crise. I am the Assistant Director at Color My World. I am one of onsite supervisor during business hours and I'll usually be the first to greet you when you are arrive or pick-up at the end of the day. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked at Color My World since 2011 and have been in a leadership role since 2015.
My daughter has attended Color My World since she was an infant and is currently in elementary. I have seen first hand the result of the wonderful care given to her by the teachers at CMW and lasting friendships she has built with other children. The curriculum prepared her so she was ready to enter Kindergarten.
I enjoy spending time with my family, dogs and reading. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Color My World is truly the best place!
